The outreach ministries listed here allow us to take the good news, good
food or many other kinds of help to those who cannot come to Holy
Spirit or help themselves. If
you like meeting people and sharing the word and love of God you are
needed in this ministry.

Vounteer
Chore Ministry
Provide no-fee chore service for low-income seniors and persons
with disabilities, e.g., transportation to medical appointments,
grocery stores, light housework, laundry, respite and yard care.
Works in conjunction with Catholic Community Services.
Jail
Ministry
The Jail Ministry Team are men and women of Holy Spirit Parish
who bring the presence of God to those incarcerated by sharing the
Word or God and the Body of Christ. . Orientation
and training for leading a Communion Service is provided. Time
commitment: 1 ½ - 2 hours on a Sunday morning once a month at the
Kent Correctional Facility. Rose

This
ministry is very similar to the Jail Ministry except the volunteers lead Communion Services at the King
County Regional Justice Center in Kent during the week. Training and orientation are provided by the Regional Justice
Center.

Transport
Food to the Kent Food Bank
Pick up donated food from Holy Spirit Church and
deliver to the Kent Food Bank located at the Kent Commons.
Transportation
to Church
Offer to be part of a Transportation to Mass team, donating
your time once a week to bring someone to church who would otherwise
not be able to attend Mass.
