Spiritual Life and Worship Commission
Have you ever sat through a mass and thought “..I would like to take
an active part in the service” ?
Well, consider this an invitation to join any of these
ministries that serve during masses.
Whether you chose to be behind the scenes or an active
participant during mass all that is required is a true willingness to
serve and a smile!
Altar
Servers (Adults & Young People)
Primary responsibilities center around their preparation for
and participation in the Eucharist, and in helping the Presider.
Adults and young people in the 6th grade or older
may serve. They serve 1-2 times a month at the Mass time they specify.

Server Coordinators
An adult altar server who recruits, trains, evaluates and
supports servers in their ministry.
Art/Environment
of Church
Cross
Bearers
Strong
people who carry the large processional Cross for weekend and special
liturgies. These people
do not need to be an Altar Server or wear vestments.
Eucharistic
Ministers
Specially trained and entrusted with the
distribution of Eucharist at weekend liturgies and at other special
liturgical celebrations. They
serve 1-2 times a month at the Mass time they specify. One must be a
confirmed Catholic to serve in this ministry and attendance at an
annual workshop is also necessary.
Eucharistic
Ministers Coordinator
A Eucharistic Minister who acts as a contact person for others
who cannot find a substitute and to help train new Eucharistic
Ministers.
Greeters
Greet people as they arrive for weekend and special liturgies.
Greeters also answer questions, take people to the various
offices and introduce new comers to member of the community.
Everyone is encouraged to participate in this ministry.
It is ideal for a family to do together.
They serve 1-2 times a month at the Mass time of their choice.

Mass Choir
Use your voice to sing praises during the 12:30
mass on Sunday and at special Liturgies.
There are weekly rehearsals.

Ministers - Usher
Greet people as they arrive for weekend and special liturgies
if no greeters are scheduled. They
assist people in finding seats when needed, and help collect the
monetary offering. After liturgies, they hand out bulletins and help secure the
building if needed. Everyone
– young or not so young, woman or man, is encouraged to participate
in this ministry. They
serve 1-2 times a month at the Mass time they specify.
Lectors
Lectors proclaim the Word of God at weekend liturgies and at
other special celebrations. Ongoing liturgical support is provided. A lector serves 1-2 times a month at the Mass time they
specify. One must be a
confirmed Catholic to serve in this ministry and attendance at
workshops is also necessary.

Lectors
Proclaim the Word of God at weekday liturgies.
Lector
Coordinator
A lector who coordinates a study group for lectors
who want the opportunity to work with others in developing skills and
in studying the Word they are proclaiming.
This person would also be a contact person to find emergency
fill-ins and to
help
train new lectors.
Music
at Mass
Singers
and instrumentalists of all levels are welcome.
Adult level individual and group training is provided.
We invite young, beginning level singers and musicians who then
receive extra training with an emphasis on building a foundation for
academic and scholarship pursuits. To help organize all this, several persons with office
management skills are needed and will be very much appreciated.
