Spiritual Life and Worship Commission

Have you ever sat through a mass and thought “..I would like to take an active part in the service” ?  Well, consider this an invitation to join any of these ministries that serve during masses.  Whether you chose to be behind the scenes or an active participant during mass all that is required is a true willingness to serve and a smile!

Altar Servers (Adults & Young People)

Lectors

Lectors proclaim the Word of God at weekend liturgies and at other special celebrations.  Ongoing liturgical support is provided.  A lector serves 1-2 times a month at the Mass time they specify.  One must be a confirmed Catholic to serve in this ministry and attendance at workshops is also necessary.

Weekday Lectors

Proclaim the Word of God at weekday liturgies.

Lector Coordinator

A lector who coordinates a study group for lectors who want the opportunity to work with others in developing skills and in studying the Word they are proclaiming.  This person would also be a contact person to find emergency fill-ins and to help train new lectors.

Music at Mass

Singers and instrumentalists of all levels are welcome.  Adult level individual and group training is provided.  We invite young, beginning level singers and musicians who then receive extra training with an emphasis on building a foundation for academic and scholarship pursuits.  To help organize all this, several persons with office management skills are needed and will be very much appreciated.
