FORMATION (ADULT)
Faith Formation provides a plethora of opportunities for stewardship.
This department serves parishioners of all ages in all stages
of their faith journey. Before
you decide this is not where you want to be, take a look, you may be
surprised at the variety of volunteer positions available.

Initiation Team
Welcomes
and supports those adults who are considering becoming Catholic.
There are four formation teams: Inquiry, Catechumenate,
Purification and Enlightenment and Mystagogy.
The formation teams consist of hospitality coordinators,
catechists and sponsor coordinators.
Involvement with the Christian Initiation Ministry includes
1-hr per week session with those inquiring into the Catholic Church OR
2-hour per week sessions with those formally preparing to become
Catholic, participation in initiation rites throughout the year,
monthly team meetings and further opportunities for development and
training regarding the Christian Initiation process.

Infant
Baptism Prep Team
To welcome parents and help them to plan and prepare for the
celebration of their child’s Baptism through catechesis and
liturgical instruction. Team
members also serve as host/hostess at weekend Masses by setting up for
Baptisms and greeting the parents and Godparents.

Sponsor/Godparent
for Adult Candidate
A sponsor/godparent is a practicing Catholic who serves as a
companion and prayer partner for an adult entering the Catholic
Church. Primary responsibilities include participation in Rites and
liturgies throughout the Candidate’s time of preparation, personal
contact through meetings, phone calls and notes, encouragement and
support of the Candidate’s journey.
